Human trafficking occurs in the U.S. and Canada when people are subject to forced labor or illegally bought and sold for commercial sex.

As the energy industry is intertwined with most aspects of the global economy, vigilance against human trafficking is critical. Mobilizing against human trafficking aligns with the industry’s core values, including safety, sustainability and investing in the well-being of the communities in which they operate.

This course, which takes approximately 30 minutes to complete, features the story of a survivor of child trafficking and includes interviews with energy industry representatives and law enforcement.   It also highlights the steps the energy industry can take to help combat this crime.
